Grade Levels*
  • specific curriculum designed for grades 8–12
  • designed around levels, not grades—introductory, intermediate, advanced
Learning Experiences
  • practical and experiential learning experiences
  • practical, experiential and abstract learning experiences
Expectations for Student Performance
  • Students will be expected to demonstrate generic skills within an occupational context with limited emphasis on theory.
  • Grading merges student ability and effort.
  • Students must demonstrate a set of competencies to a specified standard, based on workplace and post-secondary expectations.
  • Grading only occurs after the minimum competencies have been met.
