Benchmarks Division Level Summaries
The Benchmarks Division Level Summaries provide a high-level overview of the Alberta K–12 ESL Proficiency Benchmarks levels for listening, speaking, reading and writing. The summaries can be used during conversations with parents and students about language proficiency and language acquisition. They may also be a useful reference during an introductory teacher professional development workshop on the Alberta K–12 ESL Proficiency Benchmarks. The Benchmarks Division Level Summaries are not a substitute for the Alberta K–12 ESL Proficiency Benchmarks or the Benchmarks Tracking Sheets.
