The website contains information about the USA PATRIOT Act, an Act of Congress that President George W. Bush signed into law on October 26, 2001. The Act increased the power of law enforcement agencies in many areas in order to fight terrorism. The Act has been criticized by civil liberties groups as weakening civil rights, especially for immigrants.
